Cag-olango
Barangay Cag-olango was originally named Olango. Olango are trees that grew in the forest where the barangay is now located. The land was owned by Anselmo Elacion and Marciana Dado. They were instrumental in the creation of the barrio. They donated one hectare of the land. Elacion became the first Barangay Captain. The barrio started with 17 families, most of them related to each other. The settlement started at the plain beside the river and creek.
When a provincial road was constructed and connected the barangays of Guinmaayohan, Cag-olango and Sta. Rosa to the poblacion, residents transferred to the present site to locate them closer to the road. For the new settlement another hectare of land was donated, this time by the family of Natividad Elacion. Francisco Logronio succeeded Elacion as Barangay Captain. The barangay celebrates every 25th of May as annual fiesta, in honor of San Isidro Labrador. Barangay Cag-olango came into being by virtue of R.A. No. 3790, which created it into a component barangay of Balangiga from the former mother barangay, Sta. Rosa.
The barangay can be reached by foot or motor vehicles over land from its neighboring barangays. A dilapidated provincial road connects it to Sta. Rosa to the south and to Guinmaayohan to the north. From the Poblacion, at a distance of about 10 kilometers, it can be reached in 15-30 minutes using motor vehicles.
