Bacjao


Barangay Bacjao is estimated 8 kilometers away from Poblacion a coastal area; almost 8 kilometers away from town proper and 2.5 kilometers connection from provincial road; Bacjao serves as a evacuation center during World War II because of its fishing ground; Salt making was main livelihood until such time ASINAN came from and was name after it; catching fish was also a primary livelihood.  Years passed by Barangay Bacjao came from the word BACHAW vernacular work of mangrove.

Later on Bacjao became a Barangay on May 27, 1949 and the date itself becomes the barangay fiesta with its patron saint SeƱor San Jose.  Also because of the rapid growth of BACHAW the place was name after it.  Barangay Bacjao is compose of sitios, namely; Kandulom, Butnga, and Rawis.
